The regular sessions focus on the study of texts, vocabulary and grammar. Participants will be gradually introduced to new topics and grammatical rules, to be further worked on during practical Dutch lessons. In small groups, participants will work on hands on use of vocabulary and grammar, and work with pronunciation as well as listening comprehension skills.
Requirements
To apply for the One-Year Program at Dutch First you must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Be familiarized with the Latin alphabet (a,b,c, etc).
- Have completed secondary school education.
Participation in our courses does not require advanced knowledge of the English language as all Dutch lessons are conducted in the Dutch language.
Participants do not need to present certificates of passed exams in English such as TOEFL and IELTS.
Comprised of small groups of 8 to 14 people, the One-Year Program provides an intensive yet comfortable environment for learning Dutch so as to maximize success.
Certification
At the end of the OYP, the participant will receive an official certificate that will confirm that the person has participated in and successfully completed the program. Every lesson hour the particpant attends during the program will be documented. The total amount of lesson hours will also be noted on the certificate.
IMPORTANT: To receive the certificate, a minimum attendance of 90% is required. The cost of the certificate is included in the course price. Additional copies can be issued at the reception for € 5,- per copy.
After completion of the Program
After completing the program, participants will be at level B2 based on the language levels described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
If participants have attended all sessions and completed all assignments, they should be ready to take the NT2 State exams, program II. With this exam participants show their competence in the Dutch language for employment in The Netherlands or for those who wish to study at a Dutch university. Total price: € 6.390,-
The tuition fee for the One Year Program can be paid in four equal instalments after consultation with the reception. This possibility applies only to persons with residence in the Netherlands and who have a Dutch Personal number (BSN). Due to administrative reasons, this option is only possible when the participant informs the school about this directly when signing up.
